Somchai Phromthep
Retired civil servant, Nakhon Ratchasima
I had been receiving a reduced pension payment for over two years and did not know why or what I was entitled to. The assessment at Singha Tham was the first time someone sat down with me and explained the situation properly. The written summary was clear enough that I could read it again at home and understand it without needing to call back.
May 2025 — Pension Position Assessment
Robert Hendricks
British expatriate, Nakhon Ratchasima
Dealing with pension paperwork in a second language is not something I looked forward to. Singha Tham handled everything in English — correspondence, documents, and explanations. There was no extra charge for this. They were patient with my questions, and I never felt I was being rushed through the process.
April 2025 — Claim Preparation Assistance
Nanthipha Kaewdee
Former private sector employee, Korat area
I chose the assessment first and was not sure I would need anything more. The written summary helped me realise that my documents were incomplete, which would have caused problems with the claim. I came back for the claim preparation service, and the process went smoothly. The fee was exactly as stated — nothing added.
April 2025 — Pension Position Assessment + Claim Preparation
Wanchai Charoensuk
Retired teacher, Nakhon Ratchasima province
The team spent considerable time going through my pension fund records, which had issues going back to an employer change in 2018. They did not rush the assessment even though the situation was complicated. The summary they gave me laid out the problem and the options in a way I could take to my family to discuss. Very thorough.
May 2025 — Pension Position Assessment
Marie Lefebvre
French national, long-term Thai resident
My pension situation involves contributions in two countries, which I expected to make the process difficult. Singha Tham was honest about the limits of what they could advise on directly and clear about where Thai law applied. That honesty made me trust them more, not less. The claim preparation they handled was professional and careful.
March 2025 — Claim Preparation Assistance
Panya Thongkham
Former factory manager, Nakhon Ratchasima
I am on the sustained support programme as I have an ongoing dispute with a former employer over unpaid pension contributions. Singha Tham handles the correspondence so I do not have to deal with it directly. They keep me informed every few weeks. I know it will take time but I feel I am in capable hands.
Ongoing — Sustained Support Programme
Case studies
Three examples of the kind of matters we handle — anonymised to protect client privacy.
Case Study A — Pension Position Assessment
The Situation
A retired government employee was receiving a pension below what colleagues in similar positions received. Attempts to query this with the relevant office had not produced a clear explanation.
What We Did
We reviewed the employment history and contribution records, identified a period where contributions had been incorrectly calculated, and provided a written assessment explaining the discrepancy and the applicable provisions.
The Outcome
The client used the written summary to request a formal review. Within three months, the calculation was corrected and arrears were issued. Total time from assessment to resolution: approximately five months.
Case Study B — Claim Preparation Assistance
The Situation
An expatriate client approaching retirement age needed to make a formal claim for pension contributions made over fifteen years of employment in Thailand. The documentation was incomplete and partly in Thai.
What We Did
We organised and reviewed all available records, identified the gaps, obtained the missing employer confirmation in the correct format, and prepared the claim submission in full — with an English-language version provided to the client.
The Outcome
The claim was accepted without a request for further documentation. The client received confirmation of entitlement within six weeks of submission. The total cost for claim preparation was ฿4,700 as stated.
Case Study C — Sustained Support Programme
The Situation
A Thai national had been misclassified as an independent contractor for several years, resulting in no pension contributions being made by the employer during that period. The matter required sustained correspondence and, eventually, formal representation.
What We Did
We took over correspondence with the former employer, prepared a formal response to their initial refusal, and handled liaison with the relevant labour and social security bodies over an eight-month period.
The Outcome
The client received an agreed settlement covering contributions for the disputed period. The costs of the sustained support programme were agreed at the outset and not exceeded. The client was updated at every significant stage.
